CFP Special Issue of NALANS (2026): Narrative, Education and Learning in the Age of Artificial Intelligence
CFP | Special Issue of NALANS | Narrative, Education and Learning in the Age of Artificial Intelligence
Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming the production, access, and communication of knowledge. Educational environments are among the domains most profoundly influenced by these developments. From AI-supported learning tools to generative language technologies, the integration of AI into educational contexts is reshaping teaching practices, learning processes, assessment practices, and the nature of academic literacy itself. These transformations raise important questions about pedagogy, language use, academic integrity, and the evolving roles of teachers and learners.
This special issue of NALANS seeks to explore narrative, education and learning in the age of artificial intelligence, with particular attention to language, knowledge construction and technology use in educational contexts. While the journal traditionally focuses on narrative and language-related scholarship, this issue aims to expand the educational dimension of these themes by examining how AI-mediated environments and recent technologies influence teaching, learning, and academic discourse.
We welcome contributions that investigate the pedagogical, linguistic, technological, and social implications of AI in all fields of education. Studies conducted in higher education, school contexts, and teacher education programs (including research with pre-service teachers) are particularly encouraged.
This special issue is coordinated by the guest editorial team in collaboration with the journal editors to ensure thematic coherence and timely publication.
